Job Description
Sage Rehabilitation Hospital is one of Baton Rouges premier rehab facilities is currently seeking a Medical Biller / Collector to support billing functions with external billing agencies including federal agencies insurance carriers and private agencies in order to assure timely reimbursement for services.

Essential daily duties include:
- Review patient account files and ensures their accuracy for appropriate process
- Receives and reviews past due bills and follow up documents
- Prepares and maintains collection related records
- Provide input into the budgetary planning process
- Monitor the status of outstanding accounts and identifies those past due
- Processes refunds to insurance companies for overpaid accounts
Qualifications:
- Previous bookkeeping and varied clerical experience
- General knowledge of purchasing admissions billing and collection procedures
- Must be able to use email voicemail computers to complete forms spreadsheets/databases.
- Excellent training and communication skills are required.
- Must be excellent at time management
- Must be able to balance needs of many direct reports
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
