Job Title: Agile Test Lead
Work Location: Hybrid Warwick UK (2 to 3days)
Role Description
The client is in the process of migrating the Electricity Transmission business processes from the current shared SCADA system to a new OSI Aspentech/DGMprovided Monarch SCADA System.
The new ET SCADA system will monitor/control approximately 350 electricity substations each with 150 assets and an estimated 2000 sensors feeding data to the SCADA system.
The new SCADA will be integrated with other business systems to reduce manual handling of data improve efficiency and meet regulatory objectives to be more digital while maintaining safe systems of work.
The programme follows SCRUM delivery until the end of SIT with remaining test stages (nonfunctional UAT etc.) delivered via Waterfall. There are 4 SCRUM Teams across 5 functional areas (MWP MRTF MTNC SVC & PNA combined as the EMS team) comprising DGM NGET business SMEs test resources and supplier personnel.
SIT scope includes integration data alignment data validation configuration validation and processbased tests (functional scenarios).
Key Responsibilities

Work with PMs to define SIT scope for each PI; produce/manage SIT Test Plans and outcome reports.

Ensure testing resource needs are understood and met with the right skillsets.

Estimate plan and monitor velocity and address capacity issues in collaboration with PMs.

Attend Agile ceremonies and key meetings to stay aligned with project details.

Define and implement standardized testing and defect management processes.

Develop JIRA/Excel/Power BIbased dashboards for progress reporting.

Collaborate with release/configuration management to plan regression testing around defect fixes and new releases.

Ensure testing artifacts (scripts evidence results defects) meet quality standards.

Work with SIQ BAs/Architects to ensure SIT scope and requirements traceability.

Coordinate with the External Dependency Test Lead on relevant changes.

Enforce consistent SCRUM implementation across teams.

Promote effective team alignment on goals priorities and processes.

Contribute to the overall testing workstream plan.

Support dependency identification communication and management.

Monitor and report on test readiness across internal and external teams.

Act as Defect Manager when needed facilitating triage and ensuring lifecycle compliance.
Key Skills / Knowledge / Experience

5 years of experience in System Test and SIT/FAT/SAT leadership in Agile and Waterfall environments.

Expertise in test planning estimation documentation and defect management.
-
Solid background in test quality assurance.

Proficiency with JIRA XRAY (JQL scripting) and reporting via Excel/Power BI.

Strong problemsolving and adaptability in delivery scenarios.

Effective communicator able to translate technical/testing concepts to stakeholders.

Familiarity with SCADA RealTime Control Systems and preferably OSI Aspentech/DGM Products (or equivalent).

Experience with Oracle MFT and Mulesoft APIs.

Understanding of power system standards and protocols (IEC101 IEC104 GI74 IEC 61850 IEEE).
