Job Description
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.
We are hiring a Basic Grade Medical Scientist Blood Transfusion into our Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Help with the creation upkeep and enforcement of protocols about every section of the lab and the associated testing apparatus.
- Help adopt and execute operational procedures in accordance with "best practice" standards to maximise resource utilisation.
- If you work in a laboratory discipline that has been accredited by INAB you must comply with the E.U. Directive on Blood and Blood Products as well as the standards of INAB Accreditation.
- Set priorities plan your workload during peak hours and oversee several concurrent tests.
- If necessary take part in the departments "on call" schedule. In accordance with hospital rules collaborate with the appropriate staff on innovative concepts and technology.
- Take part in the execution of quality management initiatives. Engage in quality assurance and control initiatives both internally and outside.
Requirements
- Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
- Registration with CORU
- Minimum of 1 year in service training across all disciplines.
- Experience in Blood Transfusion is essential.
- Post qualification experience desirable.
- Have partaken in oncall rotas desirable.
