Job Description
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Windows Server/Desktop infrastructure.
- Administer and support 150 compute servers hosted in Azure IaaS.
- Manage and configure Group Policy and Active Directory for 250 desktops.
- Ensure systems are secure compliant and optimized for performance.
- Support and enhance the Microsoft 365 E5 environment.
- Maintain and support the Rubrik backup solution.
- Participate in and contribute to strategic IT planning hardening and tuning of systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and application issues.
- Participate in an oncall rotation (one week per month).
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop operating systems.
- Strong experience with Active Directory and Group Policy in enterprise environments.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS) and Microsoft 365 E5 administration.
- Familiarity with Rubrik or similar enterprise backup solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in or with the tolling industry (required).
- Must have a functional webcam and be available for Microsoft Teams interviews.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g. MCSA MCSE Azure Administrator etc.).
- Experience in IT systems hardening and compliance auditing.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices or structured change management processes.
This position is a replacement role to be the subject matter expert (SME) for our Microsoft Windows Server/Desktop environment. The role will be responsible for +150 Compute servers hosted in Azure, and 250 Windows Desktops. This is not a helpdesk role. Desktop support will be managing the desktops using Group Policy/Active Directory. In depth Active Directory/Group Policy knowledge/experience is required. Azure IaaS experience would be a plus. The selected candidate will also assist in the maintaining, tuning, and hardening of the Microsoft 365 E5 solution that is already deployed. Other duties include being the SME for our Rubrik Backup solution. Experience in the tolling industry is required. The selected candidate will be added to an on-call rotation that will be one week a month.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
