Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $33.00$44.50 per hour

1st Shift: MondayFriday 7 am3 pm

Benefits Start Day 1

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Associate installs troubleshoots and repairs complex electrical/electronic hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical equipment.  Ensures accuracy and safety in all operations.

  • Diagnose and correct electrical/electronic failures
  • Troubleshoot and repair A.C. and D.C. drives and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controls)
  • Install new wiring and maintain existing wiring
  • Perform board level circuit board repair
  • Design control boards for timers and motor control
  • Troubleshoot electronic controls motors and motor controls; and troubleshoot and tune PID controllers
  • Maintain work logs including logs of repairs and alterations to schematics
  • Identify needed parts to repair equipment and facility
  • Complete required paperwork to order new parts and to track existing parts
  • Coordinate maintenance of parts inventory with MRO and purchasing personnel
  • Seek ways to conserve resources and improve costs and efficiency
  • Begin work at the start of shift and ensure the necessary means to pass on all pertinent information to the next shift
  • Maintain all detailed logs and notes to ensure 100% accuracy of data
  • Ensure orderly shift changeover and complete briefs are performed
  • Properly manage all wastes generated including segregation of recyclable materials and segregation of hazardous wastes by type
  • Take steps to minimize the amount of waste generated
  • Maintain a clean organized work environment to ensure safe efficient operations
  • Report any safety violations or issues to the supervisor immediately for prompt resolution
  • Help promote good housekeeping with assigned area through participation in 5S zone(s) if applicable
  • Punch time clock before and after shift to record time worked
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required
  • Maintain supplies at workstation
  • Respond to oncall emergencies as needed
  • Assist with training of temporary and new hires in Maintenance Associate positions
  • Attend weekly shift meetings and monthly plant meetings
  • Actively participate in all plant safety programs

Qualifications :

  • High School Graduate/GED
  • Graduate of electronics technical school or associates degree in electrical/electronic theory and application or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • State license or certificate preferred
  • Minimum of two years experience in electrical and electronics maintenance required
  •  Must be able to read and comprehend electrical schematics
  • Must understand the operation of A.C. and D.C. drives and P.L.C.s
  • Familiar with ladder/control logic and National Electric Code
  • Position requires excellent math and design aptitude
  • Possess working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic components electrical control circuits high voltage Preventive and Predictive techniques
  • Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations pertaining to equipment
  • Must be able to distinguish colors and have correctable eyesight and correctable hearing
  • Must be able to pass colorblindness test
  • Must be able to lift lift up to 50lbs on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist and ability to team lift 51 to 100lbs
  • Must have above average oral and written communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • Must be able to operate and read electronic equipment like a digital multimeter and oscilloscope
  • Must be able to handle multiple demands
  • Position requires walking standing climbing stooping kneeling reaching crawling bending twisting
  • Work involves high voltage equipment and rapidly moving machinery; constant attention to safe work practices is required
  • Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to equipment noise temperature extremes and dust
  • Equipment/Tools Used: Required personal protective equipment amp probe insulated tools meg meter multitester oscilloscope utility knife voltmeter toolbox and contents
  • Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times
  • Additionally the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associates performance appraisal
  • To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
