Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical control systems for packaging machinery using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
- Develop and write machine software using Rockwell Beckhoff and Zenon.
- Conduct control system safety analysis using Sistema.
- Attend specification meetings with customers and provide expert input on electrical design aspects.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure fully coordinated designs.
- Complete engineering designs on time and within cost targets.
- Carry out risk assessments on machinery and ensure compliance with CE National Electric Code CSA and UL requirements.
- Write and develop PLC Servo Motion HMI and Safety controller code for machine control.
- Commission packaging machinery at Syntegon and customer sites.
- Provide technical support including occasional onsite assistance.
- Lead projects when working with multiple engineers.
- Identify research and evaluate new technologies.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required (valid passport and driving licence necessary).
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- 10 years of Electrical and Software Engineering experience preferably in the Packaging industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN and programming using Rockwell Beckhoff and Zenon software
- Experience with control system safety analysis using Sistema
- Working knowledge of CE National Electric Code CSA and UL requirements
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and lead projects
- Valid passport and driving licence for domestic and international travel
