Senior CAD Specialist

AECOM is seeking a Senior CAD Specialist to join our Remediation team in the Buffalo New York office. The successful candidate will work on a wide variety of projects assigned from our Environment Water and Transportation business lines. The successful candidate will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering professional consulting services to our key clients. 

The successful candidate will provide technical skills on projects within the department and will develop strong relationships with the team and clients to enable pursuit of new opportunities. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team clients site personnel and office management and work both independently and as part of a project team. 

The successful candidate will be committed to the teams success and growth; will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures; will manage the technical cost and schedule elements of project delivery; and will effectively manage the quality of project deliverables within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System. 

The job responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:

• Perform as a senior resource for CAD drafting/modeling at the project level.
• Prepare highquality design deliverables.
• Perform CAD drafting/modeling in a manner which adheres to accepted engineering practices and standards as well as company and client standards.
• Assist in the development implementation and deployment of CAD drafting/modeling and survey standards on an office level.
• Assist in the training and development of other CAD professionals.
• Working closely with design professionals at a project level to produce deliverables with minimal supervision.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS in Computer Science Information Technology or related field 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Valid U.S Drivers License and as a condition of employment must pass AECOMs Motor Vehicle Records Review
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D Microstation and OpenRoads.
• Experience with survey and grading design.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Masters Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field 
• 9 years of relevant experience as an CAD designer within an Environmental consulting firm
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience with REVIT. 
• Experience with BIM. Able to produce construction documents in BIM environments from start to finish with limited assistance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be detail oriented thorough well organized and effectively manage time.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a project team.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Strong organizational skills ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Consultative serviceoriented mindset and collaborative problemsolving skills.
• Proactive and goaloriented with the ability to manage change effectively.
