Have a desire to learn construction road maintenance and heavy manual labor areas.
Possess traffic control knowledge and familiarity with setting up traffic control measures on streets and highways.
Are skilled in performing minor construction and repairs on drainage infrastructure (pipes manholes catch basins culverts etc.).
Are comfortable with physically demanding tasks such as shoveling snow gravel asphalt and dirt; and digging post holes and setting posts.
Are knowledgeable in the proper use and care of hand tools and equipment commonly used in construction road maintenance or other heavy manual laborintensive fields.
Understands and follows safety protocols and regulations related to construction and road maintenance including fall protection confined space entry and handling of hazardous materials.
Have the ability to read and interpret maps (e.g. Thomas Brothers or similar) and applying basic geographic orientation.
Have strong communication skills both orally and in writing.
Demonstrates behaviors that include fairness respect and inclusiveness.
Have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and providing excellent customer service.
Are flexible and willing to perform additional duties as assigned to support team operations.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Have a valid Washington State Drivers License or the ability to obtain one prior to start date.
Have a valid Washington State Flagging Certificate valid CPR and First Aid certifications OR ability to obtain within two (2) months of hire.
An offer of employment will be contingent upon the successful completion of a preemployment physical examination.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift carry move or handle up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to perform duties involving physical labor including bending kneeling standing reaching climbing stooping squatting pushing and twisting.
Must be able to perform work outdoors and in inclement weather.
WORK LOCATION:
We have multiple sites across King County WA. The primary base of operations is located in Renton WA with outlying maintenances facilities located in: Black Diamond Vashon Skykomish Fall City and Redmond.
We are currently recruiting for the following location: Renton WA.
PRACTICAL EXAM/INTERVIEWS ALL IN ONE DAY:
Those applicants who pass theinitialscreeningwill be invited toparticipateina inperson practical exam/interview on the same day the week of May 26th 2025. Only those who pass the practical exam will move forward to interview.
