Job Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for conducting risk assessment; designing implementing and managing comprehensive insurance programs related to projects (operational and under construction for solar wind and storage assets) office infrastructure as well as employees in the organization; liaison with local insurance Companies Brokers and related stakeholders; provide expert guidance coordinate for policy renewals conduct due diligence in M&A activities; comply with policies and ensure strong reporting to the company s Group corporate office.
Job Responsibilities
- Insurance Program Management
- Design implement and manage compr hensive insurance programs for both constructional and operational wind solar and Battery Energy Storage in India ensuring optimum coverage for all associated risks.
- Identify synergies with existing insurance programs and captive capacity within the company.
- Coordinate the gathering compiling and consolidation of underwriting information requirements to support policy renewals across all relevant asset classes and operational activities.
- Oversee and manage insurance policies related to the company s office infrastructure and employee insurance including compliance with local regulations and alignment with global corporate policies.
- Manage the invoicing and policy administration process ensuring timely payment of premiums and maintaining uptodate policy records across all insurance categories.
- Claims Management
- Handle insurance claims in coordination with process owners (Construction/ Asset Management/ HR/ Admin) to ensure timely and effective processing and maximize recoveries from insurers.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation
- Conduct risk assessments for new and existing projects and identify potential insurance requirements and gaps in coverage.
- Maintain close dialogue with the Corporate Insurance Department (Overseas) and report policies premiums and coverage details to consolidate the total cost of risk and counterparty risk.
- Enhance practices procedures and processes to improve the company s insurance framework and align with a global risk management approach.
- Stakeholder and Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with insurance brokers underwriters and reinsurance companies to negotiate competitive premiums and terms.
- Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders on insurance matters including policy requirements and risk mitigation strategies.
- Due Diligence for New Projects Contractual Review and Compliance
- Collaborate with the BD team for insurance cost due diligence and proposal preparation for new project development.
- Review and provide advice during contract negotiations for all asset classes office facilities and employeerelated coverage in collaboration with relevant stakeholders including Legal and Finance teams.
- Ensure all insurance activities comply with legal standards and project contracts.
- M&A Support
- Provide professional support related to insurance due diligence for M&A activities and assist in the tendering and implementation of M&Aspecific insurance policies.
Skills and Qualifications
- MBA Finance/ Bachelor s Degree in Risk Management Insurance or Business Administration
- 715 years of experience in Insurance Management (Renewable Energy experience preferred)
- Experience in property/construction insurance within a broker insurer or company.
- Advanced knowledge of risk management regulations and industry trends in India
- Able to manage multiple insurance portfolios across diverse energy and infrastructure assets
- Proficiency with software such as MS Excel Access and Word.
