Job Description
Role: BigCommerce Developer
Location: Remote
Experience: 6 Years
Job Type: FullTime
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain headless commerce solutions for ecommerce platforms using BigCommerce and commercetools focusing on building seamless scalable and highperformance storefronts.
- Lead the frontend development using and to create responsive mobilefirst applications that deliver a smooth user experience.
- Work with modern backend technologies to integrate and handle APIs including RESTful APIs and GraphQL ensuring smooth data flow from headless CMS to the frontend.
- Implement commercetools APIs including the Storefront API Cart & Checkout API and Customer API to build dynamic product displays shopping carts and customer authentication systems.
- Develop and maintain UI/UX for web applications with a strong emphasis on usercentered design creating pixelperfect UI components based on designs from Figma Adobe XD or Sketch.
- Build and maintain responsive themes and UI components using CSS SCSS Tailwind CSS and Styled Components ensuring mobilefirst compatibility.
- Optimize the website for performance using techniques like lazy loading code splitting bundle optimization and ensuring compliance with Core Web Vitals.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve organic search rankings including structured data meta tags Open Graph tags and serverside rendering .
- Ensure security best practices such as OAuth2 and JWTbased authentication and secure handling of customer data ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- Collaborate closely with designers backend developers and product managers to deliver highquality customerfacing features.
- Write efficient reusable and maintainable code with a focus on componentbased architecture leveraging tools like Redux React Query or Context API.
- Stay up to date with industry trends new technologies and best practices in frontend development headless commerce and ecommerce systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers ensuring best practices are followed and helping to build an inclusive and collaborative team culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in JavaScript TypeScript and .
- Proven expertise in and for developing modern scalable frontend applications.
- Handson experience with commercetools and headless commerce architecture.
- Proficiency in APIdriven development working with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Strong experience with UI/UX development and theming using CSS SCSS Tailwind CSS Styled Components and UI libraries like Material UI and Chakra UI.
- Solid understanding of performance optimization techniques and SEO best practices.
- Expertise in implementing authentication systems and ensuring security using OAuth2 and JWT.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a remotefirst environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with bigCommerce platform and its APIs.
- Experience working with GraphQL in a headless CMS context.
