The Financial Analyst (FA) class is the journeyman class for the DCS Budget & Finance. The FA assigned to one or more programs or subprograms under the direction of a Principal Financial Analyst and prepares a variety of fiscal and operating reports. The analyst performs detailed fiscal and cash analysis for all assigned areas and serves as the primary point of contact for their assigned programs. The position provides financial expertise to department and programmatic management federal and other grantors on financial matters pertaining to assigned programs including budget cash management reconciliation compliance with state and federal regulations federal reports forecasts and monitoring for assigned programs. Also provides financial expertise through a Budget Director to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) General Accounting Office and the Treasury Department; communicates with other Administration staff and completes assignments in a timely manner with a quality work product.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors degree in accounting finance economics or business administration with a specialty in accounting finance or economics from an accredited college or university; OR a Masters of Business Administration Public Administration or related field such as accounting finance finance or economics from an accredited college or university.
The ability to secure and maintain clearance from the DCS Central Registry.
