MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Matric
- Diploma / Degree in Transport / Logistics
- Minimum of 2 3 years working experience in a similar position in a Transport / Logistics environment
- Experience in ensuring distribution plans are captured vehicle monitoring report on route deviations breakdowns data capturing backhaul loads trucks returning and nonoffloading
- Proficient in Warehouse Monitoring System (WMS) (Advantageous)
- Proficient in all MS Office packages with advanced Outlook & MS Excel
- Must be available to work on any shift and have reliable transport arrangements to meet these requirements
- Valid drivers licence (no endorsements)
- Own reliable vehicle / transport(ESSENTIAL)

Duties & Responsibilities
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
Main duties & Job Function:
- The Monitoring Clerk will be reporting to the Transport Shift Operations Manager
Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities:
- Ensures all vehicles that are despatched as per the daily distribution plan are captured as such on the system.
- Continuously monitors and updates all vehicles along the route until the return to the depot.
- Communicates all route deviations stores not offloading and reported breakdowns/ any other incidents to Management.
- Ensures all data capturing is updated and correct at all times.
- Communicates with stores on a continuous basis regarding delivery details/requirements.
- Ensures all scheduled backhaul loads are actioned.
- Ensures all trucks are returning as per the planned times.
- Assists with any store requests or other queries.
- Assists with dispatching or any other operational tasks as may be requested from time to time.
