Museum Collections Internship
SummaryAmerican Conservation Experience a nonprofit Conservation Corps in partnership with California State Parks is seeking 2 part time cultural resource interns to contribute to a collections project for the Chawse regional Indian Museum at Indian grinding Rock State Historic Park.

Position Benefits
Living Allowance: The ACE Member is expected to contribute 2024 hours a week and will receive a living allowance of $480/week to offset the costs of food and incidental expenses dispersed biweekly. The living allowance is a fixed rate determined by the (agency) and ACE and is not flexible.
Housing: Housing is the responsibility of the member and not provided by ACE or California State Parks.
Provided Training/Orientation: ACE members will receive position specific training and an orientation outlining ACE policies and procedures clear guidance on prohibited activities and networks for support. Specific training may include The Museum System (TMS) database handling and storing cultural artifacts and digitization of records.

Environmental Conditions/Hazards: The ACE member(s) may be expected to drive on highways in a government vehicle. The member is expected to conduct duties in a safe and orderly manner so as not to endanger self fellow staff/members or resources.
Vehicle and Equipment Use/Safety: If a vehicle is required for the accomplishment of the duties one will be provided by California State Parks or ACE. Any tools required for the accomplishment of the duties will be provided by California State Parks. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) typically provided by the California State Parks will be mandatory for any activity that requires it. Strict adherence to California State Parks and ACE equipment training certification and safety protocols is required.
