Under the supervision of the UCSF Department of Gynecology in collaboration with the Medical Director and guided by the policies and procedures rules and regulations and bylaws of the UCSF Medical Center some Nursing Policies and Medical Staff Policies and any unique ambulatory patient services this Nurse Practitioner 2 (NP 2) position provides direct care to obstetrics and gynecology patients with multiple often complicated chronic medical problems.
This APP position may perform delegated functions as appropriate to their scope of practice. In general the scope of practice includes the management of chronic stable medical conditions routine care acute or critical care and medical and surgical procedures per approved standardized procedures (SPs) as identified by the list available on the Office of Medical Affairs and Governance (OMAG) website. The NPs primary responsibility will be to provide clinical care to all appropriate OB/GYN patients in need of new routine urgent and same day visits. The NP will provide triage care by phone and through MyChart and provide direct support to our triage team. The NP will communicate patient care updates and followup through phone and MyChart. Responsibilities may include coordinating ongoing care for OB/GYN patients managing clinical followups supporting the care team with In Basket messages and prescription refills. The NP will independently see patients for both new and followup visits and will also provide sameday access for urgent concerns pre and postoperative needs and routine OB/GYN care.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $100.48 $130.31 (Hourly Rate).

Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments.
UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 6090 days but can vary.
