Job Description Summary

GE Grid solution for its Power Transmission Business Line (PT) is looking for a Product Product Tendering manager caring about our green future and willing to join a leading company taking responsibility being a solution provider in the field of electrification for GIS/Transformers/Powerqualityproducts.

This person will join the Europe Product Sales team and will cover Germany Austria Switzerland Poland markets in Europe. In this role he/she will be responsible for Product tendering technical description coordination of tendering activities and costing.

He/she will build & manage in coordination with the local sales team the right strategy of tendering within his/her area of influence. He/she will lead relevant projecttendering in his/her area to achieve quarterly and yearly targets in full compliance with GE values. He/she will report to Europe Product Sales Leader.

The candidate must have a proven technical background sales and costing experience.

Job Description

Explore opportunities define strategy and shape demand:

  • Support commercial activity for Product business in the region/ subregion within Order Intake and Gross Margin targets
  • Keep abreast of competition product portfolio
  • Be involved in regular customermeetings together with the Account Manager or product sales specialist in charge
  • Explore and propose strategy to optimize costing and customer satisfaction.
  • Deploy and adjust the strategy taking in account the input from the Customer the Account Manager and Contractor(s) when applicable (including GE internal customers).

Build and Close Offer:

  • Assess project complexity and support a project strategy with the input of Account Manager
  • Understand the RFQ / Customers demand & actual needs and develop the value proposition for each offer
  • Conduct specin specout products qualification
  • Manage and involvement in tendering process and follow up on tender progress
  • Build with the Product tendering team the best technicalcommercial offer
  • Be in the lead and generate the right costing and riskprofile in Estimate Analysis Sheet and set the costs in connection with the internal stakeholders like sourcing operation eng. and the PL Commercial.
  • Support tender approval process including internal presentation of the deal to the management to get the relevant validations.
  • Support Risk Assessment Process including scope commercial financial legal H&S coordinating with each field expert the best mitigation plan.
  • Compile the technical offer with the factory inputs and prepare the commercial offer implementing the results of the tender validation process and Risk Analysis results.
  • Present technical solution and commercial offer to customers.
  • Support negotiation with customers on contract terms and conditions in coordination with the Account Manager and legal council support.
  • Support technical and commercial clarification process listen to & resolve open concerns .
  • Support contracts and transfer to the factory execution teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Electrical engineering degree or similar
  • A minimum of 56 years of experience in a Commercial / Sales / Tendering Environment within a Multinational/Matrix Company
  • Technical knowledge in HighVoltage Substations product portfolio
  • Good knowledge of Electrical transmission business in the assigned region main distribution and transmission operators contractors/EPCs etc.
  • German & English fluency written & spoken is a must
  • Available to travel across the mentioned sites (1520%)

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document plan market and execute programs.
