Campbelltown Private Hospital are seeking a highly passionate dynamic and engaging Nurse Unit Manager on a permanent fulltime basis for our Day of Surgery Unit.

About us


Campbelltown Private Hospital is a purpose built private hospital located in Park Central the evergrowing medical hub of Campbelltown. Our modern facilities include 8 Operating Theatres 48 Surgical beds 15 bed Day Surgery Unit and 34 bed Rehabilitation Unit. As a Nursing Unit Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing operational direction for Day Surgery to ensure efficient and effective management
  • Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment
  • Providing guidance mentoring and support to your team
  • Being accountable for the effective management of human financial and material resources
  • Undertaking direct nursing care as required
  • Ensuring compliance with ACQSHC National standards

Essential Criteria:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse with no restrictions
  • Registered Nurse with at least 5 years experience in acute surgical hospital
  • Proven experience in building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach
  • Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders
  • Understand the requirements of private health funding
  • A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment

Desirable Criteria:

  • Tertiary post graduate qualifications in Nursing Management
  • A demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation.
  • A demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality improvement change management models of care evidence based practice and practise development.

If you are successful you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the Healthscope NSWNMA / AMNF Nurses and Midwives Agreement NUM classification starting from $62.46 to $67.18 per hour.
