Campbelltown Private Hospital are seeking a highly passionate dynamic and engaging Nurse Unit Manager on a permanent fulltime basis for our Day of Surgery Unit.
About us
Campbelltown Private Hospital is a purpose built private hospital located in Park Central the evergrowing medical hub of Campbelltown. Our modern facilities include 8 Operating Theatres 48 Surgical beds 15 bed Day Surgery Unit and 34 bed Rehabilitation Unit. As a Nursing Unit Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Providing operational direction for Day Surgery to ensure efficient and effective management
- Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment
- Providing guidance mentoring and support to your team
- Being accountable for the effective management of human financial and material resources
- Undertaking direct nursing care as required
- Ensuring compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Essential Criteria:
- Current Registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse with no restrictions
- Registered Nurse with at least 5 years experience in acute surgical hospital
- Proven experience in building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders
- Understand the requirements of private health funding
- A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care
- High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
Desirable Criteria:
- Tertiary post graduate qualifications in Nursing Management
- A demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation.
- A demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality improvement change management models of care evidence based practice and practise development.

If you are successful you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the Healthscope NSWNMA / AMNF Nurses and Midwives Agreement NUM classification starting from $62.46 to $67.18 per hour.
