Job Description
Des Moines Renaissance Savery Hotel managed by StepStone Hospitality is seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to welcome and assist our guests. This role requires excellent communication and passion for providing outstanding guest services.
Greet guests warmly and professionally as they arrive.
Manage reservations and walkins using a reservation system or waitlist app.
Seat guests in a timely and organized manner based on table availability and server rotation.
Provide menus and inform guests of any specials or wait times.
Answer phone calls and assist with questions takeout orders or booking requests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and front entrance.
Communicate effectively with servers bussers and managers to ensure smooth service flow.
Monitor dining room activity and guest satisfaction.
Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.
Pushing bending stooping upward reaching and manual dexterity.
Hearing writing typing.
Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.
Other duties may be assigned.
