Job Description

Join the Milwaukee Electronics engineering team and gain handson experience supporting realworld product development. As an Engineering Intern youll collaborate closely with our engineers to assist with both hardware and software testing gaining valuable exposure to a variety of tools technologies and test processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Assist engineers in developing new products and test fixtures
  • Write and maintain test procedures and documentation
  • Create scripts and programs to automate testing processes
  • Troubleshoot test fixtures and analyze product failures
  • Perform light assembly soldering and wiring tasks
  • Build product and applicationlevel understanding through direct testing

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering program
  • Sophomore or Junior standing preferred
  • Availability to work at least 15 hours per week during the academic year
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Eagerness to learn take initiative and follow direction

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Basic understanding of electronics theory and principles
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word etc.)
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical thinking skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is primarily performed in a Research and Development (R&D) lab environment with occasional office meetings. The position may involve working around standard lab equipment motors conveyors and small tools. While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to moderate noise levels and manufacturing environments that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses.
