You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSeattle Public Utilities (SPU) Solid Waste Line of Business (SPU SWLOB) is recruiting for a motivated strategic and highly skilled project manager with large contracts administration experience to support procurement and management of $135 Million in annual solid waste contracts that advancezerowastein Seattle. This TermLimitedTemporary (TLT) positionoperatesin a fastpaced dynamic and collaborative environment on highvalue contracts and reports to the Solid Waste Contracts Manager. Responsibilities include procurement and initial management of key consultant contracts development of contractor operations plans and evaluation of customer programs and development of recommendations for improvement.
Highly qualified candidates for this role will demonstrate their experience working with Contractors or consultants contract implementation and administration experience attention to detail strong writing and verbal communication skills strong team outcomes lean or process improvement experience and specifically will have project management and program evaluation experience in the solid waste utilities or a related industry.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives when collaborating across teams persists through challenges and complexity and succeeds in multisector solutions.
This Term Limited Temporary (TLT) opportunity is fully benefited and expected to lastup to 18months in durationand is open to all eligible and qualified candidates.

The following provides an overview of some responsibilities for this position:
Develop an implementation plan (timeline and budget) for a 5year waste composition study contract. Manage theinitialcontract.Lead procurement ofan experienced market research firmto conduct solid waste customer surveysandmanagetheinitialconsultantcontract.
Develop Solid Waste Contracts OperationPlansfor multiplerecycling and organicsprocessing and disposal contracts. Responsibilities includefacilitatingContractor meetingsmakingsite visits anddraftingtheinitialOperations Plans.
Experience: Requires a minimum three (3) years of experience in planning and research related to land use urban economics human services environmental issues conservation; or other work directly related to City planning and development activities.
Education:Bachelors degree in Planning Urban Design Environmental Studies Public Administration or related field. (If no degreetwo (2) additional years of relevant experience is required)

The full salary range for this position is $54.28 per hour $63.26 per hour.
