Xavier University a Jesuit and Catholic Institution invites applications for the position of Campus Minister in the Dorothy Day Center of Faith and Justice (CFJ). The CFJ helps students deepen their faith lives discover purpose and work for a better world. CFJ campus ministers support students as they seek to live lives of faith and justice in college and beyond. This position is responsible for coordinating Ignatian retreats faith formation programs and leading center wide efforts to outreach to first year students. This role will also assist with service programing support staff efforts for campus wide liturgies and provide pastoral care to students.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree; at least two years of related experience planning and coordinating retreats faith formation programs community engagement and service programs; proven experience working in a teamoriented setting; proven capacity to collaborate with students and community organizations; administrative proficiency; and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred qualifications: Masters degree in Theology Divinity Pastoral Ministry or a related field; demonstrated experience educating college students on faith and justice topics and familiarity with Catholic social teaching and Ignatian spirituality.
