The Principal Industrial Security Specialist will support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in managing all aspects of the sites security program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117) in cooperation with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).

What You Will Do

  • Maintain and ensure ongoing compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 and other requirements for all classified programs under purview.
  • Implement security policy documents including verification of citizenship.
  • Conduct periodic selfinspections related to the activity information system and conditions of the overall security program.
  • Process requests for visits and maintain visitor logs.
  • Maintain facility access control and personnel badging.
  • Investigate incidents and security violations conduct administrative inquiries (AI) and submit required reports.
  • Perform duties related to COMSEC materials at the site including the movement of these materials in and out of the facility and providing required reports to the assigned Government agency.
  • Provide support to business level security initiatives as required.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience OR in absence of a degree 9 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience with National Industrial Security Program and related regulations and USG information systems (DISS NISS NBIS NCAISS eMASS and DIAS).
  • Experience with security policy implementation and updates.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Ability to work independently and interact as part of the Security Team.
  • Strong organizational investigative and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and maintain security education and training programs NISP reporting visits/meetings inspections/SVA derivative classification and marking and transmission of material.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
