The Clinical Supervisor in Addictions provide clinical supervision to Addictions Counselors within the Bowen Health Recovery Center. This role ensures competency in all areas of treatment planning and the implementation of said planning. The Supervisor mentors Addiction Counselors in providing quality recovery services to patients suffering from OpioidUse Disorder. The Supervisor promotes compliance of all local state and federal regulations and accreditation agencies. The individual in this role will foster an attitude of compassion for patients suffering with substance use disorder and maintain professional standards of care. The Supervisor promoteshigh standards of care and ethical treatment for all patients that enter the Opioid Treatment Program seeking services.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Below are the primary duties and essential functions of an employee in this position. While not all tasks may be performed by every employee in this role all employees are expected to perform related tasks as needed. - Provide training and supervision to all Addictions Counselors.
- Collaborate with CSO and ensure credentialing of Addictions staff is current.
- Provide professional and ethical leadership of Addictions Counselors.
- Assist with assignments and workload distribution.
- Coordinate interesting training and continuing education opportunities for staff.
- Assist the Program Director and Medical Director in leading treatment planning meetings with the multidisciplinary team.
- Utilize UKG in collaboration with Program Director to ensure proper payroll and scheduling of staff.
- Encourage staff to comply with all state and federal regulations and remain updated on changes.
- Should the staffing need arise participate in intake evaluations for new clients entering the program.
- Identify individual recovery goals and develop individualized treatment plan update on a regular basis and identify progress and achievement of treatment goals.
- Meet regular counseling requirements or exceed counseling requirements.
- Responsible for accurate timely and confidential documentation in patient EMR.
- Assist with obtain all necessary consents.
- Make all necessary referrals when services are needed beyond what OTP provides.
- Engage in case management services in an effort to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Assist and support efforts to stabilize social vocational family and emotional crisis.
- Assess and determine health education needs and facilitate learning opportunities.
- Assess for need for additional psychiatric evaluation to determine if supplementary treatment outside of OTP services are needed. If so make a referral and follow up by obtaining and reviewing results. Share results with the multidiscipline team.
- Encourage involvement of family members significant others and or supportive persons and document any and all contact with these individuals.
- Develop interventions to assist patient in learning about prevention transmission of Hepatitis C Tuberculosis HIV and AIDS.
- With pregnant client confirm prenatal care treatment is occurring and if not develop treatment plan and interventions to address noncompliance.
- Assist lab staff to obtain urine drug screens with minimal frequency of 8 times per year more often if determined by treatment team.
- Ensure clients receive copies of patient rights and responsibilities.
- Participate and collaborate with medical team on providing and reviewing results of medical tests and drug testing.
- Participate with medical team on ensuring referral for medical cooccurring health concerns are being addressed and follow up consult reports reviewed by staff.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrates commitment to and practices in line with Bowen Healths core values of respect integrity mission and stewardship.
- Demonstrate competencies of providing addiction services and enroll in OTP at a case load of 55 clients.
- Demonstrate competencies to meet or exceed state and federal counseling requirements as defined in Article 10 and SAMSA regulations.
- Experienced in supervisory skills and demonstrated understanding of managerial theories.
- Ability to advocate in the community for openness and acceptance of the OTP program.
- Ability to work as an effective member of the multidiscipline team as well as an ability to work independently.
- Clinical expertise and ability to provide supervision to all Addictions Counselors.
- Working knowledge of OTP state and federal regulations for dispensing Methadone.
- Knowledge of and use of Motivational Interviewing Skills.
- Comply with all documentation requirements and ensure addiction counselors are doing also in compliance and report substandard documentation issues to Program Director and/or Program Sponsor.
- Ability to coordinate training and continuing education for staff at a minimum of 12 hours per year in collaboration with the Program Director and Medical Director.
- Possess leadership skills and ability to manage staffing conflicts.
- Participate in required clinical supervision and continuing education as determined by program polices and Program Director.
- Knowledge of ASAM assessments and Matrix Model group process.
- Knowledge of and utilization of referral agencies for services beyond those available at OTP.
- Ability to interface and interact with agencies in the community and a willingness to engage in outreach actions.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors Degree or higher in Human Services or Psychology.
- Experience: Prefer two (2) years of experience in a mental health or addictions setting.
- Certificate or Professional License: LCAC LMHC LMFT LCSW or CADAC II.
- Valid drivers license and active auto insurance coverage.
- Satisfactory results from criminal and driving record background checks
- Must be a minimum 21 years of age.
