Job Description
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and local tax regulations
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with at least 2 in a senior role
- Packhouse experience will be an advantage

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS
- Preparation of accurate financial reports including income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements
- Provide detailed financial analysis to support strategic decisionmaking and identify areas for improvement
- Lead the monthend and yearend closing processes ensuring all entries are accurately recorded and deadlines are met
- Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations prepared by finance department
- Coordinate the budgeting process across departments and consolidate final budgets
- Analyse variances between actuals and budgets and provide explanations to management
- Ensure full compliance with local and international accounting standards
- Oversee tax compliance including VAT income tax and statutory reporting
- Serve as the primary contact during internal and external audits
- Prepare audit schedules respond to auditor queries and ensure all financial documentation is auditready
- Evaluate existing accounting processes and internal controls; identify gaps and recommend improvements
- Implement and monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Monitor the organizations cash position and forecast future cash requirements
- Supervise and mentor finance department providing training and guidance
- Review team output for accuracy and ensure professional development within the finance team
