This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered
Overall Purpose: This career step requires expertlevel experience in network engineering project management and technology integration. The role involves supporting development design and implementation of network infrastructure for wireless wireline and broadband services specifically related to Legacy network transformation. Responsibilities include translating business requirements into technical solutions managing highvalue strategic projects and ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Development: Support development of network designs using engineering principles and tools for wireless wireline and broadband infrastructure. Evaluate new hardware and software technologies for integration into existing network systems. Working knowledge of telecom network architecture is a must.
- Project and Program Management: Lead and manage technical projects and programs ensuring tight coordination across multiple organizations and suppliers. Develop detailed work plans schedules and status reports. Conduct project tracking and analysis ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Technical Implementation and Support: Provide initial implementation support for network deployments ensuring proper execution and resolution of system failures or degradations. Develop test and implementation plans for both internally designed and vendordeveloped solutions.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work with internal and external stakeholders including Labs product development and engineering teams to author process documentation and ensure service commitments are met. Manage the integration of vendor tasks and review deliverables.
- Strategic Planning: Recommend network architecture and evolution strategies in support of corporate initiatives and technology changes. Develop costconsiderate solutions and a 3 year technology strategic roadmap.
- Environmental Compliance: Contribute to compliance with environmental laws and regulations including work related to fuel tanks emergency generators hazardous materials and other construction projects.
Job Contribution: Expert level technical professional. Advisor on technical knowledge and AT&T technologies.
Education: Typically a BS degree in Math Science or Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience: Typically requires 810 years of experience in network architecture engineering project management and technology integration.
Supervisory: No.
Environmental Requirements: Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations applicable to job function including work related to hazardous materials and other construction projects.
