JOB SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition and Associate Development teams at Marriott International exist to discover and empower talent to deliver authentic hospitality and drive Marriotts growth. The Senior Administrative Assistant is a clutch role in our team who ensures the administrative business operations of our function are smooth running by supporting the Global Officer Talent Acquisition Associate Development and their direct leaders. While there are traditional duties like light scheduling communication and meeting/event planning the role also has an emphasis on project support including light project management financial/business management (accounts payable contract management) and data position also serves as a communication engagement hub ensuring information flows smoothly within our department and its leaders globally and that our collective team is motivated committed and ultimately connected in the work we do such that they can thrive personally and professionally as a part of the team.

This role requires a highly proactive selfstarter who is adept at problemsolving and developing alternative solutions for challenges they are tackling. They exercise solid professional judgement and discretion as they are involved in decision making that can have a measurable impact on our department ranging from interpreting internal policies and procedures to serving as a resource to others including on confidential and sensitive matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Global Officer to manage daytoday administrative operations drive key initiatives and streamline administrative processes across our departments.
  • Anticipate and prioritize tasks and events to ensure the Global Officers time attention and energy are focused on the most important matters. Provide highlevel administrative support including managing complex calendars and scheduling and organizing meetings and events.
  • Partner with the TA AD teams leaders to ensure optimal organization of key meetings/operating cadences QBRs internal company meetings leadership team meetings and ad hoc working sessions.
  • Lead or support critical operational projects ensuring milestones and followthroughs. Collaborate crossfunctionally within the Human Resources discipline to drive initiatives forward.
  • Use strong judgment and problemsolving skills to resolve timesensitive operational issues with minimal guidance.
  • Streamline and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency across the TA AD team.
  • Coordinate with other departments at Marriott to plan and execute team meetings and events offsites and teambuilding initiatives managing logistics budgets and timelines. This includes a strong focus on engagement efforts for the department.
  • Handle sensitive matters with the utmost discretion and confidentiality protecting the company and its interests.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience as an administrative assistant or related professional area.

OR

  • 2year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration Human Resources or related major; 2 years experience as an administrative assistant or related professional area.

Other Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills:Essential for managing schedules coordinating meetings and driving communication within our department and its leaders globally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook):A must for preparing documents reports and presentations.
  • Basic accounting skills:Useful for managing invoices and budgets.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills:Needed to handle unexpected issues and find efficient solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively:Crucial for keeping up with a busy team with many priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills:For working effectively with diverse personalities and handling sensitive situations.
  • Knowledge of relevant software and technology:Staying uptodate with current tools and trends including AI.

The hourly pay range for this position is $26.63 to $44.95.
