Job Description
Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who thrives in an independent work environment to staff the Mayo Clinic Express Care sites within Rochester. This service is staffed by two nurse practitioners or physician assistants. The NP/PA will work independently within Employee and Community Health to provide acute care for minor acute illnesses/conditions. This model of care is a service that provides a limited menu of low intensity primary care as an extension of Mayo primary care sites on a first come first serve basis with required sign up or online sign up andvirtual video visits will be required. Symptoms or complaints outside the menu of services are referred to the patients usual primary care team on the Mayo campus. Mayo Clinic Express Care staff NP/PA staff will also participate in evisit for Mayo enterprise nonvisit care provided electronically for a limited number of minor acute needs. The clinic sees 18 months through 75 years of age and thecandidate must be licensed to seethis population.
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner:Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and APRN license and certification as an ANP or FNP.
Physician Assistant:Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.
Position requires DEA registration. BLS certification required.
