Job Description
As a Data Operations Analyst 3 youll support the Churchs global family history efforts by maintaining and improving the data systems that help members participate in sacred temple ordinances and connect with their ancestors.

This role helps Church members fulfill their sacred responsibilities including submitting names for temple ordinances doing temple ordinances for their deceased relatives and drawing closer to Jesus Christ through family history.
The Data Operations Analyst 3 supports the technology platforms and systems that enable Worldwide Homeland Operations to function effectively across international regions. This includes maintaining existing solutions analyzing technical workflows optimizing system processes and supporting new development initiatives.
Responsibilities
Conduct technical business analysis for enterprise applications and internal systems used across Worldwide Homeland Operations
- Map evaluate and improve complex business processes using tools such as Lucidchart
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
- Troubleshoot crosssystem issues through log analysis SQL queries and performance monitoring
- Design and execute test plans for new functionality process changes and system upgrades
- Support data workflows and reporting through SQL queries ETL processes and dashboard development
- Design and implement automated dataflows using ETL tools such as Talend.
- Collaborate with developers and system engineers using Git for version control and change tracking
Qualifications
4 years of relevant professional experience or a bachelors or masters degree in Information Systems Computer Science Business Statistics or a related field with equivalent experience.
- Strong experience with:
- SQL and relational databases
- Nonrelational databases
- Reporting tools and data analysis
- ETL platforms especially Talend
- Process mapping tools such as Lucidchart
- Git or other version control systems
- Solid knowledge of business process design system requirements gathering and solution testing
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences
- Experience with enterprise applications and system integrations in a business setting
NicetoHave Skills:
- Familiarity or experience with any of the following programming/scripting languages:
- Python R Java JavaScript AWS or similar
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development practices and tools such as Jira or ServiceNow
- Project management training or certification (PMP)
- Background in statistical analysis data visualization or automation scripting
- Ability to mentor and train peers
