Physical Therapists are movement experts who improve quality of life through handson care patient education and prescribed movement. Our Physical therapist work as a team with physical therapy assistants to treat people of all ages and abilities. In this position with Presbyterians Outpatient rehabilitation department gives clinicians the opportunity to treat a variety of patients and the ability to work with a group of therapist that have a range in specialties. The Outpatient rehabilitation team is collaborative and patientfocused. We place a strong emphasis on providing orientation and mentorship in order to ensure the wellbeing and success of our new team members. Less than one year of experience in physical therapy. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Bachelors degree required.
Doctor of Physical Therapy Preferred.
NM License of Physical Therapy required.
BLS required at time of hire.
Requires detailed knowledge of physical therapy in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done this level includes interpretation of data.
Basic computer skills required.
Basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the specific setting
Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served
Oversees and insures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical psychosocial and immediate environmental wellbeing of the patient
Promotes patient/caregiver selfdetermination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.
Is a patient advocate.
Other duties as assigned.
