Job Summary
McLean Hospital is a comprehensive psychiatric hospital committed to providing easy access to superior quality costeffective mental health services in the Boston area Massachusetts and beyond. Since 1811 McLean Hospital has been a world leader in the treatment of mental illness and chemical dependency research into the cause of mental illness and the training of generations of mental health care providers. McLeans multidisciplinary programs treat a broad range of psychiatric illnesses across the full continuum of care. McLean Hospital is seeking to fill a full time (1.0FTE) psychologist position in the McLean School Consultation Service. McLean School Consultation Service (SCS) is a multidisciplinary team of clinicians with expertise in child and adolescent mental health. Our program is dedicated to empowering schools organizations and their communities to promote the positive mental health of their students. We are committed to expanding the reach of evidencebased interventions for youth and eliminating obstacles to effective mental health support. We accomplish this by translating strategies we use in our McLean treatment clinics for use in school home and communitybased settings. The staff psychologist will take the lead in providing direct consultation and training in evidencebased practices to out partnerships in schools and communityorganizations and manage the consultative needs of them. As a team member the Staff Psychologist will take an active role in contributing to SCSs program and curriculum development.
