Job Overview
Podar Education Network is seeking a dedicated Transportation Supervisor for our Bangalore location. This is a midlevel fulltime position calling for efficient management of our transportation operations to ensure safety compliance and optimal route planning. The successful candidate will ensure smooth transportation activities aligned with our educational mission and objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must possess strong capabilities in route optimization tools (Mandatory skill) to ensure efficient travel plans for our transportation fleet.
- Extensive knowledge in safety compliance regulations (Mandatory skill) to safeguard students and staff during transportation.
- Expertise in driver management systems (Mandatory skill) to effectively manage driver schedules performance and feedback.
- Proficiency with logistics software to maintain accurate records and streamline transportation processes.
- Experience with inventory management systems to track and manage transportationrelated supplies effectively.
- Familiarity with fleet tracking technology to monitor vehicles and ensure timely transportation services.
- Strong skills in supply chain management to integrate transportation functions within broader logistics operations.
- Effective team leadership qualities to manage and develop transportation staff for high performance and success.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all transportation activities within the Bangalore region to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Develop and implement transportation policies adhering to local safety compliance and school transportation regulations.
- Utilize route optimization tools to enhance travel routes and reduce transportation time.
- Manage and train transportation staff including drivers to ensure reliable service and adherence to schedules.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance and repairs coordinating with mechanics to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Coordinate with school administrators to align transportation services with school schedules and events.
- Implement and manage driver performance metrics providing feedback and coaching for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on transportation operations costs and efficiency for management review.
