Eatons Commercial Products & Assemblies division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician II (Kitter) to join our team on 2nd shift. This position is based at our Hodges SC location.
Hourly Rate: Starting at $18.00 and $1.00 shift premium.
Position Overview:
The Assembly Kitter will be responsible for achieving daily production goals with focus on safety quality delivery inventory and productivity. This role will be responsible for assembling and organizing components into orders to supply the production line to improve assembly efficiency.
In this function you will:
You will be responsible for complex assemblies to fulfill customer requirements/orders by producing quality products safely in a timely manner following Standard Work.
Comply with the environment health and safety guidelines.
Sustainment of 5S in area.
Be responsible for following all safety policies and procedures complying with WSRAs and wearing proper PPE. Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to team lead supervisor or manager.
Unload inbound material on truck and receive/deliver to designated location upon arrival.
Sort and scan orders into specific location upon arrival.
Gather bars and/or housing into orders for production.
Scan orders into specific location into kitting area.
Accurately label each order for easy identification.
Track inventory quantities during the kitting process.
Inspect finished orders for completeness and quality.
Operate forklift as needed to move material.
Comply with written or oral instruction from supervisor.
Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products. Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
Flex to other areas as needed or perform tasks of other positions as needed.

6 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
6 months of experience using hand and air tools
Proven problemsolving skills.
