Job Description
The Welfare and SelfReliance Department oversees the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints work in caring for those in need worldwide. WSRS provides a wide range of products and support from essential items like food and shelter to mental and spiritual selfreliance resources.
This oneyear hybrid internship position will address the increasing demand for graphic design image search prototype design and the production of various collateral and digital graphics including social media email print intranet web and blog content. The intern will produce internal communications graphics and assist in meeting overall design requirements.

The internship will introduce the intern to the fastpaced world of marketing and internal corporate publishing content. The intern will contribute learn and grow in their field of study preparing them for potential employment. The intern should be strategicminded and apply strategy to the design deliverables produced.
The intern will work under the direction of the Manager of Branding and Marketing Messaging an awardwinning Creative Director with over 25 years of experience in the design and marketing industry.
This oneyear hybrid internship in Salt Lake City is NOT a fully remote position.
Responsibilities
The intern will support our communications and learning team by doing the following:
Collaborate with content strategy and learning teams to find imagery and develop design prototypes that support communication and learning initiatives for (@ @justserve @deseretindustries Church of Jesus Christ Newsroom WSRS internal comms etc.).
Visual and design support for prototype manuals and training materials focusing on caring for those in need and humanitarian efforts worldwide.
Visual design support for emails PowerPoints internal communications collateral etc.
WSRS visual design and content blog support (CARING WSRS JUSTSERVE and Internal blog).
Web imagery search and content updates production support.
Video and image editing support
Image finding (for websites or articles)
Internal reports design
Brand support (organizing archiving and managing brand assets)
Internal communications campaigns
Event graphics swag and commemorative graphic design
Pilot programs handouts and prototypes
Qualifications
A bachelors or associates degree in graphic design or a related field
Ability to collaborate and work independently while managing multiple projects assignments and responsibilities.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrates outstanding problemsolving skills anticipates and prevents issues before they arise and assists in resolving complex problems.
Workable knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

What Will Make Us Like You
Previous internships and design job experiences are an advantage.
Photography skills are a plus.
Video production is a plus.
SharePoint and web design experience are an advantage.
