ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities (What youll do)
- Oversee and coordinate daily accounting operations including review of routine and complex journal entries and accruals.
- Responsible for a variety of GL functions such as intercompany reporting ordertocash procure to pay record to report payroll and benefit processes.
- Manage the monthly and yearend closings including balance sheet reconciliation and flux analyses ensuring complete and accurate results are delivered on time.
- Analyze actual results against forecast prior period budget and provide variance explanations to support the monthly financial results.
- Work cross functionally with corporate teams in addition to other group accounting teams.
- Ensure compliance with SarbanesOxley requirements and assist in refining accounting processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvements.
- Prepare and coordinate support for external and internal audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage special projects and ad hoc analyses.
- Prepare annual budgets.
- Optimize the teams capabilities by coaching and mentoring team members assigning tasks and fostering professional development.
QualificationsDesired Skills and Experience (Who you are)
- Bachelors degree in accounting
- Certified Public Accountant
- 5 years Big 4 Accounting Firm experience required plus corporate accounting experience preferred.
- 2 years of management experience required.
- 2 years corporate accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency with major ERP systems required (Oracle SAP or NetSuite)
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Detailed oriented organized and able to prioritize.
- Strong interpersonal skills initiative to work independently and in a team must display a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills and able to communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to take on new challenges and work in a fastpaced environment and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Proven ability to utilize advanced Excel functions to identify discrepancies between multiple data sources is a plus.
- Ability to work nonstandard hours due to responsibility and executive requirements.
