Job Description

RECREATION ASSISTANT CONCESSION STAND EMPLOYEE 4TH STREET PARK/LORIN FARR POOL

DEPARTMENT: Public Services

DIVISION: Recreation

WORK HOURS: Monday Sunday (Flexible schedule Ability to work nights weekends and holidays as assigned).

RATE OF PAY: $13.00 $18.00 per hour depending on experience

  • Previous experience in food service or customer service is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Must have a Food Handlers Permit.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Greet and assist customers with their orders.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established standards.
  • Operate cash registers and handle cash credit and debit transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the concession stand area.
  • Restock supplies and inventory as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines.
  • Must be able to work nights and day shifts
  • It is preferred that individuals over the age of 21 have a TIPS (alcohol server) license.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work may be performed indoors or outdoors with a variety of conditions including excessive temperatures and inclement weather. Standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasional lifting moving dragging pushing and carrying heavy objects; up to fifty (50) pounds unassisted.

CRIMINAL HISTORY BACKGROUND CHECK

Successful applicant must pass background check.

MOTOR VEHICLE REPORT

Driving record of successful applicant will be obtained by the HR Office.
