Nestled atop the 12th floor in Calgarys vibrant westend overlooking the majestic Bow River Bow & Bend brings the outdoors in as the Bows gentle bends mirror the tranquility of this signature 150seat rooftop restaurant and bar. At its core are the finest culinarians and mixologists eagerly waiting to fulfill our customers dreams of an indulgent and refined dining experience. At Bow & Bend we provide warm and attentive service in a visually stunning environment with an artfully crafted menu embracing ecoconscious practices through conscious choices and initiatives.
ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY
We are in search of knowledgeable and engaging professional Bartenders responsible for serving beverages and/or items on the menu to guests in a professional competent and prompt manner delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences while showcasing extensive wine spirits and beer knowledge according to the standards of Bow & Bend.
Primary accountabilities include:
- Consistently provide the highest quality of service to our customers and staff alike setting a shining example for our team.
- Prepare drink orders from customers/servers in proper calling order.
- Make cocktails in accordance with the 5Star Standards solid cubes of ice thoughtful and elegant garnishes fresh juices and all in appropriate glassware.
- Follow all check handling procedures including all credit card policies and procedures.
- Prepare beverage requisition for liquor.
- Create a pleasant friendly hospitable effective and professional working atmosphere at all times this involves being genuine in all interactions.
- Comply with established procedures in standard ProServe beverage practices regarding the serving of alcohol and the identification of minors.
- Check and replace glassware where needed.
- Stock and replenish ice at all ice stations.
- Clean floors in area of responsibility at the end of each shift.
- Stock and replenish all alcohol wine and beer to all of the par levels established.
- Follow all opening closing and any other applicable side duties as assigned per shift.
- Maintain a safe secure and healthy work environment by following all sanitation standards and procedures complying with health and legal regulations.
ABOUT YOU
- A seasoned professional with a minimum of one year of Bartending experience in a large upscale Restaurant operation in a downtown city center.
- Someone with an outstanding work ethic along with a track record of reliability punctuality and an approachable demeanor with a strong commitment to safety.
- Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fastpaced environment.
- Someone with extensive knowledge in wine beverages and bartending practices.
- Excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.
- Valid ProServe certification.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Physically able to stand sit walk push pull crouch and lift or carry objects up to 20 pounds or more.
