The Role
As the first dedicated designer on Cookin v2 youll set the creative and productdesign foundations that the rest of the team will build on. Youll partner daily with product engineering brand and growth to ship fast learn even faster and turn insights into delightful highimpact features.
You will:
- Own the endtoend user experiencefrom shaping product strategy and defining northstar vision to sweating the final pixel.
- Prototype test and iterate quickly on flows wireframes and highfidelity visuals across native mobile and web.
- Tell clear compelling stories about user needs and product opportunities that rally the squad around the right problems.
- Work shouldertoshoulder with engineers to ensure design quality survives the build process and launches on time.
- Champion design that keeps our team moving fast without sacrificing craft.
About You
- Productminded maker. You think in terms of outcomes not dribbble shots. You notice when an experience feels off and can articulate why.
- Fullstack designer. Research IA interaction visual motionyoure comfortable owning the spectrum and know when to go deep vs. goodenough.
- Builder at heart. Startups side projects hackweeksyou love turning blank pages into shipped product and arent fazed by ambiguity or constraints.
- Relentless learner. New tools (Figma variables Cursor Windsurf Midjourney v0) excite you. Youll adopt whatever helps the team move faster and smarter.
- 5 years of realworld impact. Youve shipped consumerfacing products at a highgrowth startup studio or beloved app used by thousands. Portfolio required.

Location
Hybridflex with a strong preference for teammates who can collaborate in our Toronto office several days a week. (Well make exceptions for extraordinary candidates.)

Compensation
All final pay rates will be determined by candidates experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data.Pay Range for this position
$140000 $180000 CAD
