About the role
Join our team as a Landscape Architect Subdivision officer reporting to the Team Leader Landscape Architect in the Planning Building and Heath department. In this position youll be responsible for prepare comprehensive assessments of subdivision landscape and urban design plans and proposals from developers achieving quality design outcomes within the public realm through collaboration and negotiation with developers and consultants and evaluating landscape plans for conformity with Council policies and requirements.
What your day will look like
- Providing detailed landscape design assessments to developers and their consultants with efficiency and a customercentric approach
- Negotiation with internal and external parties to achieve great open space and public realm outcomes
- Collaboration with all parties involved in open space and public realm to ensure consistent design responses for the community of Wyndham
What you will bring
- Tertiary Qualifications in Landscape Architecture or related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles and practice of design as it relates to public open space community environmental social and economic development
- Experience in assessing plans technical drawings specifications plant species etc. in order to approve landscape and urban design proposals for formal endorsement.
- Experience in the critique of landscape and urban design plans to achieve quality design outcomes
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders.
