Job Description
The Holiday Inn Express is currently seeking individuals for the position of Assistant Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our StepStone Hospitalitymanaged hotel. As our Assistant Maintenance Engineer you will maintain the hotels assets through ongoing preventative maintenance programs and ensures that all mechanical systems are operating in accordance with the hotels and StepStone Hospitalitys standards. You will promote quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. Scheduled hours will vary weekly between MondaySunday. Weekdays weekends and holidays are required.
The responsibilities of the Assistant Maintenance Engineer include but are not limited to:
Assist with maintaining the hotel performing minor and routine painting plumbing electrical wiring and other related maintenance activities.
Replace air conditioner filters.
Maintain air conditioners cooling towers and boilers to provide heat cool air and hot water for guests.
Maintain standards of quality guest service.
Tend to pool area including chemical balancing cleaning etc.
Increase guest satisfaction by delivering an exceptional product through employee development.
Respond and resolve guest requests complaints or questions courteously and promptly.
Remove debris and clean driveways and garage areas.
. Shampoo carpets using shampoo machine.
Put away all incoming supplies and deliveries
Report to the Housekeeping Manager and Chief Engineer
Requirements
- Minimum lifting of 70 pounds.
- Pushing bending stooping upward reaching manual dexterity.
- Hearing writing typing.
- Minimum pulling of 70 pounds.
- Other duties may be assigned.
