Summary:

The software engineer will support the development of automated test systems for embedded hardware products. The role focuses on building and maintaining test infrastructure using Python Docker and Linux. The software engineer will gain handson experience with tools such as Jenkins Git and CI/CD pipelines while working in a collaborative team environment. This position is an ongoing opportunity to develop skills in test automation and modern software engineering practices.

• Develop and maintain automated test code using Python
• Configure and troubleshoot Linuxbased environments and containers using Docker
• Work with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate test processes
• Follow best practices for version control using Git in a multirepository environment
• Participate in teambased development using modern software engineering workflows

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related field
• Experience working in Linux environments and using the command line
• Proficiency in Python and C/C
• Understanding of software design patterns and clean code principles
• Proficient in using Git and version control in collaborative projects
• Understanding of basic networking concepts like SSH VLANs subnetting etc.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

• Familiarity with pytest or other testing frameworks
• Experience with Docker Compose Jenkins or other CI/CD tools
• Exposure to hardware interfacing or test instrumentation environments
• Experience writing and maintaining documentation
