Process Technologist
Job Summary:
The Solar Cell and Module Process Technologist is responsible evaluate & develop
sciencebased process optimization method and technique in the manufacturing
processes used in the production of solar cells and modules. The ideal candidate
combines strong technical knowledge of materials science semiconductor
processing or photovoltaic technology with handson experience in a cleanroom or
manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate & Develop sciencebased process optimization method and technique
for solar cell and module manufacturing processes including wafering texturing
doping metallization vacuum deposition lamination and encapsulation.
Acquire new knowledge through research collaboration with external R&D
institution & experimental trials and implement.
Analyze process data and metrics to identify trends pattern and build library of
knowledge for performance improvement.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for yield losses and defects.
Participate in continuous improvement projects and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelors/Masters/PhD degree in Materials Science Physics Chemical
Engineering or related field.
6 years of experience of Research & Development in the area of semiconductor
solar cell/module optical fibre and allied field.
Understanding of crystalline silicon and/or thinfilm solar cell technologies and
knowledge of device simulation/modelling preferred.
Proficient in data analysis tools and statistical process control (SPC).
Experience with process automation tools cleanroom protocols and vacuum
deposition etching and laser processes are desirable.
Strong analytical thinking and problemsolving abilities.
