Job Description:
Job Title: Bakery & Pastry DCDP
As a Demi Chef de Partie (Bakery & Pastry) you will play a vital role in creating highquality pastries desserts and baked goods that delight our guests. You will work closely with the Pastry Chef and Sous Chef contributing your skills to uphold our brands reputation for excellence. This role offers the perfect platform to sharpen your skills unleash your creativity and grow within a dynamic supportive environment.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of a variety of bakery and pastry items including breads cakes tarts and plated desserts ensuring highquality standards in taste and presentation.
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines while also contributing creative ideas for new menu items.
- Maintain the highest levels of hygiene and food safety standards ensuring all products meet both company and HACCP guidelines.
- Support daily mise en place operations and assist in the efficient running of the pastry section.
- Work closely with senior chefs to consistently improve recipes techniques and presentation.
- Monitor inventory and ensure timely requisition of ingredients to avoid shortages while minimizing wastage.
- Train and guide junior team members sharing knowledge and fostering a positive teamoriented environment.
- Stay updated on the latest pastry trends and techniques to contribute fresh ideas to the menu.
Experience & Education Required:
- Bachelor s degree in Hotel Management
- Proven experience of 12 years as a Demi Chef de Partie in 5 Star luxury hotels such as Oberoi Taj Marriott ITC Hyatt Hilton and likewise.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations.
