Custodian

• Working with other team member(s) to ensure all areas are cleaned and stocked with necessary items.
• Service clean and supply restrooms. 
• Gather and empty all trash and recycling bins.
• Clean windows.
• Observing proper chemical handling procedures when working with cleaning agents including wearing gloves goggles or masks and following written or verbal instructions.
• Responsible for disinfecting furniture and equipment as needed.
• Perform light maintenance duties on parts and equipment of courthouse. Changing light bulbs. Reporting major maintenance to the proper personnel.
• Responsible for properly stocking areas with janitorial supplies and submitting requests when items need to be replenished.
• Maintenance of lawn and landscape.
• Move furniture equipment and supplies as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Union County Sheriff.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Custodial experience or training preferred.
• Understanding of cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
• Pass a background check and postemployment screening.
• Be conscientious and able to work independently to achieve duties assigned (unsupervised).
• Be familiar with custodial equipment (e.g. floor buffers carpet cleaners etc.).
•  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be able to perform duties assigned.
•  Ability to listen understand and process work instructions.
• Must have a strong work ethic.
• Must have organizational and planning skills.

Additional Information :

FullTime hourly position scheduled work hours are 11 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday.

Hourly Rate:  $18.03
