Job Description
The Data Foundation team at CPP Investments focuses on managing and optimizing the organizations data infrastructure. They ensure data quality accessibility and security to support datadriven decisionmaking. The team integrates data from various sources maintains data governance and enhances analytics capabilities to facilitate efficient data utilization across the organization.
As a Lead Data Engineer you will be responsible for design implementation and testing of largescale data & analytics systems that will help address the disparate data & analytics needs of our growing organization. You will demonstrate leadership and drive engineering excellence within your team and influence the same across the Technology & Data department. You will also be central to developing and implementing data strategies with the business to simplify data environments and data integration while providing oversight to ensure consistent application across data solutions.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable and efficient data architectures including data products efficient storage systems and processing frameworks to support the organizations data needs.
- Provide guidance to a team of data & analytics engineers fostering a culture of collaboration innovation and promote knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization.
- Help define and drive the technical strategy and roadmap for data engineering initiatives aligning them with business objectives and evolving technology trends.
- Provide oncall support for production systems create frameworks and automation for DevOps QE driving continuous maturity and operational efficiency.
- Plan and coordinate data engineering change initiatives from solution design to implementation and deployment ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders with the Data Platforms and across the organization including data engineers data analysts software engineers and business leaders to understand their data requirements and provide effective data solutions.
- Help evaluate new technologies tools and frameworks in the data engineering space and make recommendations for their adoption based on their potential to improve productivity performance and scalability.
- Ensure thorough documentation of data engineering processes solutions and best practices and promote knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization.
Qualifications :
- Undergraduate degree or college diploma in related field (e.g. Engineering Computer Science).
- 6 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of big data modeling techniques including data vaults and dimensional modeling.
- Exceptional programming skills with professional programming experience in a data context (e.g. data extraction data manipulation data analysis etc.).
- Expertise with data quality principles data profiling techniques and data governance best practices.
- Indepth knowledge and experience building data solutions in AWS leveraging S3 Glue Lambda EMR/PySpark Redshift/Spectrum Snowflake Athena/Presto etc.
- AWS Big Data & Analytics Speciality
- Experience with Terraform and Github action.
