Job Description
Lewis Central Community School District is looking forseason Grounds Maintenance Workers.
POSITION TITLE:Grounds Maintenance
FLSA: PartTimeHourlyNonExempt
REPORTS TO:Buildings and Grounds Director
Summary:
Maintains the Districts school facilities in such a state of operating excellence that they present no problems or interruptions to the educational program.
Basic Duties (not all inclusive):
Mow grass across District grounds using riding and/or push mowers.
Trim and edge around buildings sidewalks fences and other structures using weed trimmers and edgers.
Pick up trash and debris around campus grounds to maintain a clean appearance.
Assist with basic landscaping tasks such as mulching planting and weeding as needed.
Maintain athletic fields playgrounds and other outdoor areas by mowing and clearing debris.
Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
Follow all District safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
Support general grounds cleanup projects throughout the spring and summer season.
Qualifications:
Education:NA Lewis Central High School students can apply but must be at least 16 years of age.
Experience: Previousexperience preferred but not required.
Hours/Schedule:
Hours and schedule will be determined by Buildings and Grounds Director but will be during daytime hours and may be dependent on weather. Some weeks may include 40 hours of time worked.
