Job Description
The Scientific Support Specialist Virology plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our virology quality control processes. This position demands a high level of technical expertise attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
Job Duties Include:
- Execute rigorous technical oversight of Virology quality control assays ensuring adherence to strict protocols and standards.
- Maintain laboratory integrity through meticulous performance of essential duties including cleaning inventory management and cold room organization (5S methodology).
- Produce highquality technical documentation to support laboratory operations and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough investigations of laboratory deviations and errors:
- Employ advanced analytical skills to determine root causes
- Implement and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs)
- Perform comprehensive data audits
- Author detailed reports as required
- Ensure all investigations adhere to compliancedriven timelines
- Design and execute Qualification and Validation studies to maintain the highest standards of laboratory performance.
- Provide critical analytical change management support for Virology testing laboratories facilitating seamless transitions and continuous improvement.
- Uphold unwavering compliance with cGMPs GLPs regulations and company policies/procedures in all laboratory activities.
Qualifications :
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in a scientific field with 1 years of experience or MS with graduate research/6 months experience
- Aseptic laboratory technique and troubleshooting experience
- Technical writing skills and experience with LIMS and electronic laboratory notebooks
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

- Ability to manage multiple projects and develop innovative solutions
- Strong organizational skills and GMP knowledge
- Adaptability and positive attitude in a fastpaced teamoriented environment

The position is first shift fulltime MonFri 8am5pm with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of West Point PA are encouraged to apply.
