We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Carpenter to join our team at Swissotel Doha Qatar. As a key member of our maintenance department you will be responsible for a wide range of carpentry tasks ensuring the upkeep and enhancement of our facilities. - Perform various carpentry tasks including repairing and replacing doors windows furniture cabinetry flooring and other wooden structures
- Construct and install fixtures fittings and other wooden elements according to blueprints and specifications
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential carpentry issues preventing costly repairs and ensuring the longevity of assets
- Fabricate custom woodwork for various needs such as decorative elements signage and special event setups
- Sand stain varnish and paint wood surfaces to achieve highquality finishes
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures maintaining a safe working environment
- Collaborate closely with other maintenance team members and departments to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and assist in ordering supplies as needed
- Interact professionally and courteously with guests and staff when necessary
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests related to carpentry
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with hospitality experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques tools and materials
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Efficient time management and task prioritization abilities
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform carpentry tasks
- Keen attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and procedures in carpentry
