This position involves teaching two subjectsMathematics and Scienceto a cohort of approximately 46 sixthgrade students. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Massachusetts Elementary Education License have a strong background in upperelementary or middle grades instruction and be enthusiastic about integrated teaching and projectbased Responsibilities:* Teach Math and Science to 6th grade students aligning instruction with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and MCCPSs interdisciplinary projectbased model.* Collaborate closely with gradelevel teammates and content specialists to design and deliver integrated units of study that reflect realworld problems and foster crosscurricular connections.* Participate in the development and implementation of engaging PBL units that incorporate student voice handson experiences and community service.* Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress differentiate instruction and support academic growth for all learners.* Contribute to and uphold a positive respectful classroom culture that reflects the MCCPS Core Values of Respect Responsibility and Perseverance.* Maintain open and ongoing communication with families and caregivers about student progress and classroom experiences.* Participate actively in team meetings schoolwide initiatives and professional development that supports our mission and instructional MCCPS At MCCPS educators are valued as professionals supported as collaborators and inspired as innovators.
