MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Doctorate in data science statistics pharmacometrics engineering or field of study related to quantitative clinical research.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience with handling clinical data and analyses with handson programming experience is preferred.
Professional conduct in all dealings with students faculty or administration.
Communications Knowledge of communication and dissemination techniques and methods.
This includes alternative ways to inform via written oral and visual media.
Education Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum design principles evidencebased teaching and instruction for individuals and groups and knowledge of measurement and assessment.
Initiative Willing and able to take on responsibilities and challenges.
Leadership Willing and able to lead; take charge and offer opinions and direction.
Learning Strategies Selecting and using instructional methods and procedures appropriate in the discipline family when learning or teaching new things.

The salary will be commensurate with education training and experience and includes a generous benefits package.

The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy is conducting an open search for a Research Assistant Professor NonTenure Track in the Center for Translational Medicine within the Department of Practice Sciences and Health Outcomes Research (PSHOR).Theprimary scope of the position is to conduct and support research study activities in the area of drug development in artificial intelligence machine learning and statistical analysis.
The position is a fulltime nontenuretrack 12month appointment based at the Baltimore Maryland position requires scholarly activity teaching service to the school campus and the profession and the ability to engage in the application of data analytics and approaches to research studies.
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
This position is responsible to the Chair of the Department of Practice Sciences and Health Outcomes Research with research reporting responsibility to the Executive Director of the Center for Translational Medicine.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Determine methods of artificial intelligence machine learning or statistical analysis and apply techniques to drug development and regulatory decisions. Ensure validity and accuracy of data and compliance with quality control requirements.
Design quantitative research projects analyze findings develop conclusions write reports prepare presentations of relevant findings and conclusions.
Perform required data extraction through programming and report on progress of programs studies and/or projects.
Perform research based on AI/ML and pharmacometrics methodology.
Summarize and prepare manuscripts presentations and proposals by providing and presenting drug development information such as tables charts or graphs.
Develop and formulate best practices and protocols in data collection for analyzing and presenting data using AI/ML methodology.
Assist in training on matters related to artificial intelligence.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
SCHOLARSHIP
Engage in scholarly activity in areas of interest. Scholarly activity is defined broadly and includes research design studies data in the area of drug development in artificial intelligence machine learning and statistical analysis.
TEACHING
Participation in instruction in artificial intelligence/machine learning and study design.
SERVICE TO THE UNIVERSITY SCHOOL AND PUBLIC
Participation in appropriate faculty activities (e.g. faculty assembly department meetings and faculty committees) professional organizations and other endeavors is expected.
