Job Summary:
The Component Engineering Internship prepares Trimbles next generation of tools and technologies for market release by using these in the field and office and documenting workflows and performance. You can expect to have a component engineering internship in the following business areas: CTCT division (joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) develops positioning and control products for earthmoving and paving machines in the construction and mining industries using technologies such as GPS optical total stations lasers and sonics. The products are used in a range of applications where the operator of the machine benefits from having accurate horizontal and vertical guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop simulation and analysis tools for positioning and control products.
Work on tools for data collection for IMU products.
Work closely with the hardware and test team to understand design workflow.
Complete evaluation testing on various hardware engineering products.
Completion of special projects and tasks
Provide end of internship presentation on key experiences
Recommended Skills & Experience
Candidates currently pursuing a masters or bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Science or other related field
Experience with programming languages. (C and MATLAB preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving skills

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation depending on circumstances not related to an applicants sex or other status protected by local state or federal law.
Hiring Range:
20.8226.54Bonus Eligible
