Our dress code academic standards and commitment to consistency create an environment where students are wellprepared for college and lifelong Overview:MVRCS is seeking a dynamic and qualified Economics Teacher to instruct students in Grades 1112 with a focus on delivering highquality instruction aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in economics and demonstrate versatility to support either the Mathematics or History department as Responsibilities:Teach five daily classes in Economics using IBaligned methodology and the Core Knowledge and deliver lessons that are rigorous engaging and aligned with clear learning assess and monitor student progress; provide timely constructive feedback through progress reports and report standardized assessments as assigned by the department and school weekly with department colleagues and the Department Chair to ensure instructional alignment and improve accurate records of student achievement attendance and the schools classroom management system with consistency to foster a respectful and orderly in staff meetings school events and professional development academic support to students outside of regular instructional additional responsibilities as assigned by school :Bachelors degree in Economics required; additional coursework or a minor in Mathematics or History strongly written and verbal communication analytical and problemsolving abilities.A collaborative studentcentered approach to teaching and ability to build positive relationships with students families and classroom management and organizational of curriculum standards subjectarea best practices and relevant to maintaining high academic expectations for all to assess student learning and write clear actionable to pursue and complete the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) within the first year of and Evaluation:This is a fulltime yearly appointment reporting to the Department Chair and subject to an annual performance Opportunity Statement:Mystic Valley Regional Charter School is an equal opportunity employer.
